DAY 1

Domestic flight to the Masai Mara

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi you will be picked up by Ensi Safari field guide who will take you to Wilson airport for your domestic flight to masai-mara. You will fly with Governors aviation to the Masai-mara national park. This flight takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour. On arrival you will meet the friendly staff of Karen Blixen Camp. They will take care of you for the coming 3 nights. You will have an en-route game drive to the camp whereby you get to see the first wildlife in the Conservancy. Karen Blixen Camp is an eco-friendly luxury camp that comprises large luxury canvas tents, each placed with privacy and undisturbed view along the Mara River. The stylish restaurant, the reception, the lounge and bar and the gift shop with internet are set on a raised wooden deck and furnished with accurate reproductions of Karen Blixen’s private furniture to fit in with the cozy atmosphere. DAY 2

Mara North Conservancy

Today you will discover the wildlife in Mara North Conservancy. You will start the day with an early morning game drive to catch the first glipms of the sunrise and make stunning pictures. You can choose to go on several game drives spread of the day with a hot lunch at the camp with meals at the camp OR one full day game drive with a picnic lunch in the middle of the park. When the night falls you will go for an exciting night game drive to spot the noctornal animals! Lunch, Dinner and overnight stay at Karen Blixen camp/The Governors Camp
DAY 3

Follow the migration in the Mara triangle

You will start the day with an early morning game drive to see the sunrise and more wildlife. After a delicious breakfast at the camp you will drive to the Mara Triangle which is situated in the Western part of Masai Mara National Reserve. A beautiful landscape with an escarpment in the West and an amazing wildlife. If you are at the right place at the right time you have high chances on seeing the river crossing in this area of the national park! This is the focus of the tour and with a bit of luck you can. DAY 4

Drive to the Masai Mara

After early morning game drive and breakfast at the camp you check out from Karen Blixen Camp and drive to Musiara Gate. Here you meet the driver of Governor’s Camp your accommodation for the coming two nights. You will change vehicles and have an en-route game to the camp where you will have lunch. After lunch you will go for a long game drive in search for the big 5 in the world famous Masai Mara game reserve on the border with Tanzania. An excellent year round animal concentration and known for its typical short savanna plains. Home to the great migration in the months July – October when two million Wildebeest make their way northwards from the Serengeti in Tanzania. You are able to spot lions, buffaloes, antelopes and hippos and crocodiles in the Mara River. The coming two nights you will spend at Governor’s or Entrim Mara Camp. This camp was designed with a single purpose in mind; to be in the best possible location to view the wildebeest migration in the Masai Mara game reserve the same applies Governor’s Camp for a few months of the year the migration is on our doorstep on the Mara River. All 10 guest tents overlook the Mara River at Entrim Mara Camp and are well-placed, en-suite with flush-toilets and hot showers. There is a cozy lounge area with a small library, separate bar and dining area, which is open-fronted allowing guests the unmatched experience of eating meals while watching the animals move to and from the river to drink and forage for their food.
DAY 5

Full day game drives in Masai Mara

Today you will have a full day of game drives ahead. Before sunrise you will try to spot different predators that might made a kill last night. You will return for breakfast at the camp while the sun rises over the game reserve. You can decide to take a packed lunch for a full day game drives or come back at the camp for a hot lunch. The secret on sighting a lot of animals is to do different game drives on different time and areas for the highest success rate. After this exciting day you will come back to the camp where you can relax with a cold drink on your veranda with a view of the Mara river!
DAY 6

Domestic flight to Nairobi

. After a cup of tea or coffee you will go for an early morning game drive to see lions, hyenas or other predators eating after a successful hunt. When even your stomach is growling, you come back to the camp for breakfast. After breakfast you can do another game drive until lunch time. Then it is unfortunately time to leave this beautiful game reserve and fly back to Nairobi. In the afternoon the driver/guide of the camp will take you to the Ol Kiombo airstrip from where your flight will depart at 4.15 p.m. back to Nairobi. Around one hour later you will arrive at Wilson Airport. A Matoke tours representative will be waiting at Wilson airport to transfer you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in time for your international flight home.
