Arrival at Entebbe International Airport our driver guide welcomes you and drives you to the hotel depending on arrival time you may visit botanical gardens Entebbe for bird watching. Dinner and overnight at Sunset Hotel Entebbe.

Mabamba wetland

After breakfast, we shall drive to Mabamba wetlands where we will be paddled in a canoe through the swamp looking for the mighty Shoebill and other birds like Lesser Jacana, long –toed Lapwing, Blue-headed Coucal, Blue breasted Bee-Eater and many others. After passing through the swamp we will look for the beautiful papyrus Gonolek, White- winged Warbler, Weyn’s and northern Brown-throated Weavers. Later in the afternoon we transfer to Masindi/ Budongo Forest. Dinner and overnight at Court View Cottages.

Bird Royal mile

After breakfast, drive to bird along the royal mile in Budongo forest for the new birds, coming back in time for lunch. After lunch drive back for afternoon birding. Look out for species like white- thighed Hornbill, Blue-breasted Kingfisher, chocolate-backed Kingfisher, Grey Parrot, Dusky long-Long-tailed Cuckoo, Nahan’s Frankolin, white-thighed Hornbill, White-breasted Negrofinch, Chestnut-crowned Sparrow-Weaver, Black-bellied Seedcracker, Foxy Cistcola, Red-winged Grey warbler, cliff chat, Green-headed sunbird, chestnut-crowned sparrow, dwarf kingfisher, yellow-crested woodpecker and a few primates. Dinner and overnight at Court View Cottages.

Transfer to Murchison Falls National.

Park via Kaniyo pabidi Budongo forest: After breakfast, we shall drive to Kaniyo Pabidi birding along the road. Species such as Scaly-breasted Illadopsis, Puvell’s Illadopsdis Rufous-sided Broadbill, Yellowbill, Yellow throated Tinkerbird, Honeyguide Greenbul, Red-tailed Ant-thrush, Fire-crested Alethe, Forest Robin, Green Hylia, Grey-throated Tit-Flycatcher Common Bristlebill, Nahan’s Francolin, Yellow-billed Barbet, Cassin’s Hawk-Eagle, Yellow-footed Flycatcher Cassin’s and Sabine’s Spine tails. Later in the afternoon proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. Dinner and overnight at Nile Safari Camp.

Bird Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, head out for a game drive getting back in time for lunch. Later in the afternoon go for a boat ride in search of birds like Shoebill, Green Pigeon, Vinaceous Dove, White-breasted Turaco, Abyssinian Ground Hornbill, Rock Pratincole, Giant Kingfisher, Swallow tailed bee- eater, Red- throated bee-eater, Carmine bee-eater, black- billed Barbet, spotted morning Thrush, Northern Red and black-winged red Bishops among others. Dinner and overnight at Nile Safari Camp..

Transfer back to Masindi birding via the escarpment

This area is very productive in terms of birding therefore a great of birds can be listed here within an hour’s time. At the escarpment look out for Mocking Cliff Chat, Barbets, Sunbirds, owls, Cisticolas, eagles, hawks. Dinner and overnight at Kolping House in Hoima town

After early breakfast with your packed lunch transfer to Kibale National Park

The drive takes about 8 hours. En-route birding offers a great deal on birds like barbets, honeyguides, kingfishers, Greenbuls, bee-eaters and many more. Dinner and overnight stay at Kibale Guest Cottages.

Bird Kibale forest

Birding in Kibale N.P is a delightful experience. We shall look for species such as Green-breasted Pitta, White-spotted Flufftail, Black-billed Turaco, Narina’s trogon, Blue-throated Roller, White-naped Pigeon, Red-tailed Ant-Thrush, Yellow-spotted Nicator, Black-and-white Shrike - Flycatcher, Chestnut Wattle-eye, Green Hylia Narrow-tailed Starling, Crested Guineafowl, Brown-eared Woodpecker, Yellow-billed barbet, black billed Turaco, White-spotted Flufftail, chestnut wattle and many more. Lunch at the hotel. Go birding Bigodi swamp in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Kibale Guest Cottages.

Transfer to Semliki:

After early breakfast we will transfer to Semliki forest arriving early in time for birding. Have lunch at the lodge and after lunch head out for evening birding. Look for species like Rufous-sided Broadbill, flanked Goshawk, Western Bronze-naped Pigeon, Red-billed Hornbill, Piping Hornbill, African Dwarf Kingfisher, White-crested, Black Dwarf, Red-billed Dwarf and many more. Dinner and overnight at Vanilla lodge.
DAY 10

Have a whole day birding Kirumia Trail with packed lunch.

After early morning breakfast, proceed to kirumia trail for a whole day birding. Our highlight will be species such as Nkurengu Rail, Spot-breasted Ibis, Forest Francolin, Black-casqued wattled Hornbill, Long-tailed Hawk, Red-bellied Dwarf, Black-wattled Hornbills and many other rare species. Dinner and overnight at Vanilla Lodge.
DAY 11

Today bird the along new trail.

Today bird the along new trail. Have whole day birding in the new trail with packed Lunch. Dinner and overnight at Vanilla Lodge
DAY 12

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast we shall transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park while birding along the way. Arrive at Mweya peninsula in the evening, we shall bird around the hotel on arrival in the evening for species like African Crake, Ross’s Turaco, Jackson’s Pipit, Red-headed Lovebird, White-winged Black Tit, Cassin’s Flycatcher, Black Bee-eater, African white-backed vulture, Eagles, cinnamon-chested Bee-Eater, Blue Quail and Blue-breasted Kingfisher have our Dinner and spend the night at Mweya Safari lodge.
DAY 13

Bird Queen Elizabeth national Park

After breakfast, a morning game drive and birding will be ideal. Lunch at the lodge and go for the boat trip in the afternoon on Kazinga channel where we shall see a variety of wild life and bird life as well. A variety of game such as hundreds of hippos, crocodiles will be viewed. Other animals like Elephants, Buffaloes, Uganda Kob, Bushbuck, Defassa waterbuck, warthog will also be viewed. A number of bird species are also available here which include Green-backed Heron, Yellow-billed stork, saddle-billed stork, African spoonbill, martial eagle, common quail and Rufous naped lark. Dinner and overnight Mweya Safari lodge.
DAY 14

Transfer to Bwindi /Buhoma via Ishasha.

After breakfast, you will transfer to Bwindi N. park via Ishasha and we shall have lunch on the way. At Ishasha, we shall view a variety of game including climbing lions, buffaloes and other games. We shall do an evening walk around Buhoma area after arrival in search of Mannikin in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Haven’s Lodge Bwindi
DAY 15

Bird Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After Breakfast, we will bird along the main trail for species like Bar- tailed trogon, Black Bee-Eater, Mountain Illadopsis, Red-faced woodland Warbler, Yellow-footed Flycatcher, White-tailed Blue Flycatcher, Africa Gashawk, White-headed Wood-hoopoe, Chapin’s Flycatcher, and Pink-footed Puffback, Bush-Shrike, Starlings, Brown-capped Weaver, Blue-throated Roller, Wilcock’s Honeyguide, Elliot’s Woodpecker and many other species. Dinner and overnight at Haven’s Lodge Bwindi
DAY 16

Gorilla Trekking/You may do birding if not interested in tracking.

After early morning breakfast, we will visit one of the world’s natural wonders providing home to mountain Gorillas and various endemic birds. Gorillas are often watched from just a few feet away and occasionally we do encounter Gorillas while birding along the trails. Lunch, dinner and overnight at Haven’s Lodge Bwindi
DAY 17

Transfer to Ruhizha via the Neck.

After early morning breakfast, we will transfer to Ruhizha via the neck birding en-route for species like Tambourine Dove, Black Bee-Eater, Mountain wagtail, Toro Olive-Greenbul, White-starred-Robin, Strange weaver, Dusky Twin spot, Black Bee-eater among others. Dinner and overnight at Broadbill Camp
DAY 18

Bird Mubwindi Swamp

After early morning breakfast, we will walk down with packed lunch to Mubwindi swamp looking for specials like Tullberg’s Wood pecker, African Green-Broadbill, mountain Greenbul, Handsome Francolin, Black billed Turaco, Bar-tailed trogon, White-headed Wood-hoopoe, Dwarf Honeyguide, Fine-banded Woodpecker, Scarce Swift, Rwenzori Hill Babbler, Evergreen Forest Warbler, Grauer’s Rush Warbler, Blue-headed Sunbird,White-tailed Blue Fly-catcher, yellow-streaked Greenbul, Yellow-eyed Black Flycatcher, Red-faced woodland warbler, mountain yellow warbler, chestnut-throated Apalis, collard Apalis, stripe-breasted Tit, Rwenzori Batis, Doherty’s Bush–shrike, montane sooty Boubou, Regal Sunbird and many more. Dinner and overnight at Broadbill Camp
DAY 19

Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

After early morning breakfast, we shall transfer to Lake Mburo National Park birding en-route. Dinner and overnight at Mihingo Lodge.
DAY 20

Morning birding and transfer in the afternoon to Mabira Forest.

We shall take an early morning boat ride in search of African Finfoot and other water birds. Our highlight will be Red-faced Barbet whose range is almost restricted to a small area in South of Uganda and East of Rwanda. Other species that shall be spotted along the Lake side include Spot-flanked, and Black–collared Barbet, Blue-napped moosebird, White-winged Warbler, Southern Ground Hornbill, Papyrus Gonolek, Violet tipped Courser, and many others. Lunch at the hotel and later in the afternoon drive to Jinja town. Dinner and overnight at Gately on the Nile.
DAY 21

Have a full day birding Mabira Forest.

After breakfast, bird at Mabira forest and later visit the water falls. There is also a variety of bird life that we shall see. We shall walk along the trail and look out for birds such as Speckle -breasted woodpecker, Black-throated Apalis, African Blue flycatcher, Dusky Tit, Forest Robin, Little Olive and other superb sunbirds. The trail continues into an open area where large, dead trees provide nesting sites for an abundance of barbets such as Grey-throated, Yellow-spotted, Hairy-breasted, Double-toothed, Great Blue Turaco and Local African Pied Hornbill are also found there.
DAY 22

Transfer to Entebbe international airport

After morning breakfast, head for your home bound flight. Arriving midday and prepare for your home bound flight. END OF TOUR
